Overweight Plaque Psoriasis Study in Boston

Around 3% of the world’s population is affected by plaque psoriasis, a chronic autoimmune skin condition that causes rapid skin cell buildup, resulting in thick, red, inflamed patches that may cause itching and discomfort. In adults living with both plaque psoriasis and obesity or overweight, symptoms can be more persistent and harder to manage, impacting daily life and overall well-being.

At MetroBoston, we are conducting a research study in adults with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis and obesity or overweight with at least one weight-related health condition. The study takes place in a routine clinical care setting and looks at how an investigational therapy performs when added to an existing treatment. The goal is to better understand how these two conditions may be addressed together under regular medical supervision.
